More May Highlights, Grant News, & Author Visit Info!
With Asthma Awareness Month 2026 now winding down, I thought I'd share the rest of May's highlights regarding My Life as an Asthmanaut and its promotion. Let's get right into it! After a busy World Asthma Day, Lit Kids Magazine posted an interview with me on May 8th. What I love about this site is that it's kid-centered, and I had so much fun thinking over imaginative questions like: "If you could travel anywhere in the world to do your work, where would you go?" and "If you

Book Launch Party And World Asthma Day Highlights!
Happy Asthma Awareness Month! I know this post is coming a bit late, as we're now halfway through May. But I've just been so busy trying to push my book out there in what is essentially one of the best months of the year to promote it. And I have SO many updates! Too many, in fact, to put in a single post. I took a while to decide what to announce here, what to leave out, and what to save for next time, content-wise. In this post, I'll be focusing on the time around World Ast

My 1st Author Event At The PSLA Conference!
April 16th was a very special day for me. Why, you ask? Because it was the day I went to the 2026 Pennsylvania School Librarians Association (PSLA) Conference in Altoona, PA! In the hours leading up to the conference, I have to admit that I was a little nervous. As someone who's from a deeply rural area of PA, I had never been to any sort of conference before. And on top of that, I had never done a book signing event either. My traditional publishing debut, My Life as an Asth

Release Week Highlights!
The week of my book release was wild! I'm still processing all the cool things that happened. I'm being brutally honest when I say that it was a week I'll never forget. Here, I'll be sharing the highlights, while saving my big trip to the 2026 PSLA conference for the next post, where it can shine all on its own. KIDLIT411 was kind enough to host a giveaway of my book. The giveaway received 16 awesome entries! https://www.kidlit411.com/2026/04/the-weekly-411-41026.html I'm a m

MY LIFE AS AN ASTHMANAUT Post Book Birthday & MAJOR Endorsement News!
After almost three years of development, I'm writing to you after one of the most stellar days of my life. Yesterday was the book birthday of my traditional publishing debut, MY LIFE AS AN ASTHMANAUT! It felt like forever to get to that milestone. Then, when the birthday came, the hours just flew by as I celebrated with friends on social media and tried to come to terms with the whole concept of having a book published. I sometimes felt like I was in a dream. I wrote a book?

The last few months have been busy, busy, busy. To build up momentum and anticipation for my book release, I've been securing reviews on sites like Goodreads, seeking blurbs from prominent figures, doing interviews on blogs and in the media, navigating pre
